As part of efforts to make officers fit and healthy to perform their duty optimally, the Customs Area Controller of Kebbi Customs Command, Compt Chidi Chukwumeziri Nwokorie, organized a medical checkup exercise and a weekly routine exercise on Thursday, the 19th of June 2025 at the Command’s premises.
According to a press statement issued by the
Public Relations Officer
of the command,
SC Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu, the controller in his opening remarks, noted that the exercise is to portray the CGC’s motive to strike a balance between work and health which is known as Work-Life balance.
He urged officers not to perceive the exercise as something they are coerced to partake in but as a mandate to checkmate their health status in case of any unforeseen health issue.
Comptroller Nwokorie further reiterated that henceforth, there is going to be medical check every two weeks and a mandatory weekly exercise to strengthen the fighting spirit of officers and men of the command in order to carry out the Service’s core mandates effectively.
The exercise was concluded by engaging officers in various types of sport particularly football, basket ball, table tennis, etc..
