For granting the request of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso to contest the 2023 Presidential election under the umbrella of New Nigeria People’s Party ((NNPP), without demanding for a Kobo from him, the founder of the party, Dr. Boniface Okechwuku Aniebonam said he has spent over N800million on litigations and sundry issues.
Dr. Aniebonam who addressed a world press conference on Tuesday at NAGAFF Village, NNPP Annex office in Apapa, Lagos, noted that this was what he got as a thank you gift from the former governor of Kano State for being magnanimous in giving him a platform for free and unconditionally.
The NNPP founder who is also a life member of the party’s Board of Trustees, recalled that in 2022 Senator Kwankwaso, Engr. Buba Galadima, in company of others came to his country home in Umuawulu, Anambra State to ask for his assistance to use the NNPP platform for the 2023 general elections.
According to him, he granted the request without any financial consideration or commitment from his visitors but instead donated money for operational take off.
Speaking on the Abia State High Court judgement shifting control of NNPP to its BOT under him, Aniebonam informed that the party is now safely in the hands of its BOT and that Kwankwaso, Galadima and Barr. Ladipo Johnson long expelled from the party before the judgement cannot speak for the party but for their Kwankwassiya group.
