MWUN Lauds Oyetola Over Payment of CRFFN’s Staff Salary Arrears

The leadership of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has commended the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Adegboyega Oyetola MON, for helping to proffer solution to the issue of the CRFFN’s staff salary arrears.
The commendation came after it announced that the management of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has paid give months outstanding salaries to its staff out of the total of seven months arrears owedy staff.
In a press statement signed by the President-General of the union, Com. (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju himself, MWUN expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the Minister for his time lyrics intervention, demonstrating unwavering commitment to workers’ welfare in the maritime sector, adding that his dedication and humane leadership has made a significant difference.
Whilst thanking the Acting Registrar ofy CRFFN for cooperating with the union and seeing to the payment of five months salary arrears, it urged the CRFFN management to settle the remaining two months outstanding salaries as soon as possible.
MWUN also reminded the Honourable Minister that having paid only five months out of the seven months arrears owed to the workers, the CRFFN management now has two months in outstanding staff salaries to settle.

The union further appealed for the support of the Honourable Minister and demanded that the CRFFN completes the task of settling the remaining two months arrears without delay.
