Deep Sea-Bed Mining has been promoted as Nigeria organized an international workshop on deep-sea mining, reaffirming commitment to develop a legal framework for sustainable economic growth.
Regional Collaboration: Nigeria partners with the US, EU, ECOWAS, and UN to protect coastlines and ensure safe passage of goods and people.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, chairing the session, noted the Atlantic Ocean’s importance to every nation, emphasizing collective action to address shared challenges.
International Endorsement:
The Atlantic Partnership has grown to 42 members, representing over 75% of the Atlantic coastline. Members endorsed the Declaration on Atlantic Cooperation, promising engagement based on international law, mutual collaboration, and respect for differences.
