Compt. Shuaibu Charges Officers to See Their Promotion As a Call to Higher Responsibility

Promoted officers of the Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun 1 Command, Idiroko, have been told to see their promotion as a call to higher responsibility.

The Area Controller of the command, Comptroller Ahmadu Bello Shuaibu said this as the newly promoted officers were decorated and celebrated by their fellow colleagues, families and friends.

Comptroller Shuaibu who was ably represented by the Deputy Comptroller Administration due to his official engagement at the Service Headquarters Abuja, congratulated the promoted officers and expressed gratitude to God for His grace on the promotion.

He appreciated the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi MFR and the Customs Board for finding the promoted officers worthy of promotion.
He charged the officers to redouble their efforts and see their promotion as a call to higher responsibility.

He stated further: “Your promotion is a privilege, many of you sat for the promotion examination but not all got promoted. You have to live up to expectations, to whom much is given much is expected “.

The newly promoted Comptroller AA Abdulkadir and former Deputy Comptroller Valuation of the Command, who graced the occasion , advised the promoted officers to do things differently from their usual ways such as dressing, communication and level of performance, among others.
He also charged them to expect higher responsibilities and more tasks ahead.
At the occasion, four Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSCs), three Superintendents of Customs (SCs), seven Deputy Superintendents of Customs (DSCs), three Assistant Superintendent of Customs I (ASCs I ) and two Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCs II) were decorated with their new ranks.
The Command is blessed with the promotion of three Comptrollers of Customs including the Customs Area Controller, nine Assistant Comptrollers, 16 Chiefs Superintendent including the Command spokesperson, among others.
