2024 Budget:Ogun Proposes N703.03bn

The Ogun Government has proposed a total expenditure of N703.03 billion naira for year 2024.

Governor Abiodun said that the proposed expenditure would comprise of N287.37 billion as recurrent and N415.66 billion as Capital expenditure.

The Ogun State Governor;Prince Dapo Abiodun made this known during the presentation of the year 2024 Appropriation Bill christiened “Budget of Sustained Growth and Development” at the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The state helmsman noted that the revenue composition of the 2024 appropriation bill would include the Ogun State Internally Revenue Service (OGIRS) with an estimate of 100.81 Billion and other ministries, department and agencies estimated at 139.73 Billion totalling 240.54 Billion.

Abiodun added that his administration would continue to accord priority attention towards the completion of all ongoing projects across the ISEYA Development pillars,saying that projects with revenue potentials,projects that can enhance employment generation and projects consistent with priorities articulated in the State Economic Development Plan & Strategy 2021 – 2025 would be prioritized.

Abiodun disclosed that his administration would continue to improve on its medium term revenue strategy with the believe that it would drive the state’s medium term expenditure framework,

Governor Abiodun noted that 2024 is designed to achieve the strategic objectives of the Ogun State Economic Development Plan and Strategy 2021 – 2025, which includes fiscal sustainability,human development,food security, improved business environment,energy sufficiency,amongst others.
