Customs Chief Wins Save Nigeria’s Gold Award of Excellence

The prestigious Distinguished Gold Award of Excellence in Public Service initiated by a maritime activist group, Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers & Exporters Coalition (SNFFIEC), has been won by the Customs officer in charge of Post Clearance Audit (PCA), Apapa Customs Command, DC M. Ndagunji Salihu.
DC Salihu emerged the winner of the award because of his dedication to duty and exemplary service in human relations and development.
According to the National Coordinator of the group, Chief (Dr.) Osita Chukwu, KSJI, the highly revered award comes once in three years, after a holistic evaluation and random nomination cum online selection exercise through which a winner emerges.
Chief Chukwu congratulated DC Salihu for winning the award and urged him not to relent in his dedication to duty and quality service he renders which made him win the prestigious award.
In his response, Salihu thanked the SNFFIEC for honouring him with the award and promise to always do his best in the discharge of his duty as a Customs officer.
He noted that he has always related well with all people, even at home as he doesn’t discriminate between his children and other children.
The PCA boss added that the award will propel him to further work hard as he could understand now that people are watching him.
