The organised labour has confirmed the suspension of the seven-day protest which started on Wednesday.
Festus Osifo, the President of Trade Union Congress (TUC), confirmed the suspension during an interview with a private television station on Thursday morning.
He said that labour was able to extract some commitments from President Tinubu during their meeting on Wednesday evening.
Osifo said the commitment made by the President were for immediate implementation.
It was gathered that the decision of the Labour union was as a result of some of the commitments made by the president included the resuscitation of the Port Harcourt refinery to work by December, immediate implementation of a wage award when agreed upon and a workable roadmap to the CNG alternative by next week.
