Renewed Hope Initiative (HRI) of the First Lady, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N14.25 million in cash to some victims of a recent flood disaster at the TradeMore Estate in Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A statement by the Special Adviser to the First Lady on Media, Busola Kukoyi, in Abuja on Friday, said 57 households affected by the flood got N250,000.00 each from the RHI

The First Lady, who was represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, expressed sympathy over the flood disaster.

Senator Tinubu expressed optimism that the intervention of the RHI would considerably mitigate the hardships they were facing.

She said that although the RHI was still in the process of registration by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), she could not ignore the victim’s plight.

Dr. Adewale Adenaike, a resident of the estate, thanked the First Lady and the RHI for the kindness and support they extended to the flood victims in their trying times.
