Akeredolu inaugurates committee to monitor 2023 census

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu has inaugurated the State Population Census Management Committee to monitor the forthcoming census, slated to take place between, Thursday, the 3rd to Saturday, the 5th of May, 2023.

The committee is saddled with the responsibility of sensitising the people of the state on the need and the importance of allowing themselves to be counted during the exercise.

The committee is also to ensure that the staff of the National Population Commission record the accurate figures for Ondo State.

The committee is chaired by the Commissioner for Economic, Planning, and Budget, Pastor Igbasan Emmanuel. The members include Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, Education Commissioner, Pastor Femi Agagu, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Chief (Mrs) Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Amidu Takuro, Commissioner for Environment, Mr Sunday Adekunle Akinwalire.

Others are Chairman, Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Tolu Adegbie, Director General, Performance Project, Implementation and Monitoring Unit (PPIMU), Mr Babajide Akeredolu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Mr Bayo Phillips and the state Statistician General, Mr Wole Agunbiade who will also serve as the secretary to the committee.
