ANLCA AGM to attract Customs ACG, Police AIG, commissioner, others

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) coming up Wednesday, 15th March will attract senior officers of the Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Police and the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).
The AGM is billed to take place at the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event which will also have over 250 licenced Customs brokers and other dignatories in attendance is being sponsored by the CRFFN.

National Secretary of ANLCA, Alhaji Babatunde Mukaila, who is also the custodian of the ANLCA membership data base, confirmed that a total of 250 members of ANLCA have fully registered for the event.
According to him, the accredited members are either owners of Customs Licence or Directors of Licensed Companies as stipulated by the Association’s constitution and must have paid their N10,000 Annual Dues.

Alhaji Mukaila further disclosed that apart from the Chairman of CRFFN board and the Acting Registrar of the Council who will witnessed the AGM, the Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) of Customs, Assistant Inspector General ( AIG) of Police , Maritme Command and the Commissioner of Police , Lagos State and other stakeholders will attend the all important AGM.

It could be recalled that the ANLCA 2023 AGM had before been shifted several times due to the lingering crises rocking the association in the past four years, until the CRFFN stepped in to invoke its regulatory powers for the event to take place.

The AGM is expected to among other things chat a new course for the association and bring to an end the lingering crises. The event will also kick- start the process of preparation for the National Executive Committee (NECOM) election as the tenure of the present NECOM expires next month.

Registered members of the association from across all the zones in the country are expected to physically participate at the AGM.
