Nigeria and Nigerian people will gain immensely from the leadership of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu, the Director General of the Nigerian Marítime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Bashir Jamoh, has said.
Dr. Jamoh who congratulated the President-elect, on his election victory in a message on his personal Twitter handle, remarked that Nigerians and the country would benefit greatly from the leadership of president-elect.
His words: “Congratulations to our leader, the Jagaban of Borgu, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on your triumph at the polls as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Given your antecedents as former Governor of Lagos, Nigeria stands to benefit from your leadership,”
The nation’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the standard bearer of Nigeria’s ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of Saturday’s presidential election on Wednesday morning.
Tinubu defeated his close rivals, Alhaji Abubarkar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr. Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP).
The President-elect scored a total of 8,794,726 votes to beat other candidates, thus meeting the first constitutional requirement to be declared the winner.
He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states required by the constitution.
